What I’ve Been Up To Recently

So a small life update!

I was reached out by a friend from Butler a few months ago about being a part of a little film project they were a part of and how could I say no? So this past week I’ve been taking a break from acting in the good ole region and hanging out back in Indy doing some on camera acting which is pretty exciting! It hasn’t been a super crazy filming experience for me aside from one 12-page scene of just me and one other actor. The call times were pretty late but I’m just exciting to get a little taste of acting in a film. Definitely has its challenges but rewarding nonetheless. I’ll keep everyone updated on when more info about that project gets released since now the editing process is soon to begin.

More updates! So the production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream I was involved with has closed (sad) but someone assistant directing a production of 9 to 5 the Musical in the same city apparently saw me in midsummer and messaged me about having me step in to fill a role they had been searching for. I of course said yes once again!

So now I’m in rehearsal for the first musical I’ve been in since high school (unless you count The Threepenny Opera, the director of which would not) which is lots of fun so far! I was originally filling a pretty small role and was in maybe three scenes but the director came up and said if I wanted I could be in some more of the songs/dances I was more than welcome to. They had just removed my character from everything except the essentials since no one was available for the role and the thought was that it’d make someone more likely to step in. I miss singing and dancing so I basically said she could put me in wherever she needed me and so I got put in a few more songs AND THEN a male ensemble member quit the show so now I’m taking over some of his track as well so that’s a whole lotta fun!

Basically life has been good and I’ve been truly blessed with some incredible acting opportunities that are really keeping me sane. Busy, but sane and happy nonetheless. Lots more traveling than anticipated but I’ve conquered my fear of driving on the highway so huzzah!

Anywho, I wanna start making blog posts more often as I have a little more energy and more things are happening in the theatre industry, so hopefully you’ll be hearing from me soon! See you then!
